My sister Tammy and I did not get along well when we were young. I considered
her a royal brat. Well, I guess most of us older brothers think that about their
baby sister, the last child to steal the thunder from my first-born status.
Still, even then I loved her as my sister and did my best to look out for her.
To tell the truth, I think some of the problem was envy; my little sister was
the sparkle in everybody's eyes when we were kids. Tammy always placed well in
beauty contests and was able to get along with Granddad better than any of the
rest of us siblings. Her being Grandma's favorite didn't help either. Today, my
sister Tammy and I are very fond of each other. We have grown up to respect each
other in ways neither of us would ever have dreamed possible when we were
children.
Now, all the above stated, Tammy sure thought it was a dirty trick for me to
ambush her at the door with a camera. I think she forgave me but it cost me a
hug. By the way, the nickname I call her today is, "Brat," but at least now, I
say it with a smile. :)
My sister Tammy's first born son, Caleb is said to be a lot like I was when I
was younger. Well, at least I think he stayed out of trouble better than I did
getting to his age but I can see some personality similarities. We tend to be
quite around most people and are probably a lot brighter than most people would
give credit on first glance. Caleb is also interested in graphics and computers
and was the one to introduce me to flash drives. Thanks Caleb, they are handy.
