Makayla and her brother, Michael
It turns out that Michael is not camera shy either.
Although I had seen Stephanie's children last Christmas (but
failed to get their pictures then) this was the first time I
talked with two of them. The other one, Rebecca, is still too
young to talk with and I did not get her picture this time
either.

Makayla smiling
Here, Makayla is standing next to her mother, Stephanie (to
the right with only her hand showing), and again asks if she
can take my picture. Stephanie and my fiancée, Tammy (to the
left and only partly shown in the background), gang up on me
and side with Makayla and tell me to let her take my picture.
Still avoiding the issue, I turn and take another picture.

Michael, Grandma, and Cindy
Finally, it look like Grandma is about to cut the cake. Michael
is stoked and very animated. Cindy is sitting and waiting
patiently.
Grandma's 80th birthday was the first time I had a chance to
meet Cindy. She didn't seem to know what to think of me so I did
not try to talk with her this time. I hope that I will have other
opportunities to get to know her better in the future.
At the last second, just as Grandma is about to cut the cake, the
phone rings. It is Grandma's niece, my 1st cousin, 1 time removed,
Louise. There is an audible groan from some of the adults because
they know this phone call is going to take a while.
